As promised, here is Part II of Lee and Kellie’s magical day.

Their formal photos were a bit of a challenge, to say the least, as the majority were done at night time.  We had lots of fun and the results have turned out fantastically.  So different, unique and them.

I hope you love them guys and will be in touch when we are both back from honeymoon/holidays.

To everyone, after I reply to a couple of emails, I am now signing off until the 10th of September.  My family and I are off to enjoy 10 days in Melbourne, along with doing some fun family sessions while we are there.  I am very much looking forward to some time off and some time with my family before the craziness of 9 weddings, hits in October.  I will have my computer, email and phone with me for anything urgent, otherwise I will be back in to it, as I said, on the 10th of September.

Stay safe and ‘see you’ when I get back.

Wonderful photos!! We love them!!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Lee to Kellie at the amazingly beautiful and moody St Stephen’s Chapel in the Brisbane CBD.  The intimacy of the chapel was perfect.

I arrived at the boys preparation and the atmosphere was relaxed and happy with many jokes and laughs being shared.  It was exactly the same when I arrived at the bride’s preparation.  Kellie and her bridesmaids were ready to go.  It’s always going to be a smooth ride when the bride is so prepared and knows exactly what she wants.  I love it.

In this part – part 1, you will see a small glimpse in to both of their preparations.  I will follow with part 2, tomorrow, which will show the ceremony, their formals and some of their beautifully set up reception at the Polo Club (I seriously love this place.  One of my fave reception venues to photograph EVER!).

In the meantime, I wanted to share Lee and Kellie’s wedding dream team:

Ceremony Location: St Stephen’s Chapel, Brisbane CBD

Reception Location: Brisbane Polo Club – I just need to give a massive shout out to Renee, the co-ordinator.  Each and every wedding I have photographed there has been nothing short of perfect

Kellie’s amazing Dress: Daniel Moore, Fortitude Valley 0411 471 661

Suit Hire: Spurling Bridal, Aspley

Florist: The Lily Bean, West End

Cake (Oh my, wait until you see photo’s of their cake – AMAZING!): Toowong French Patisserie

Makeup Artist: Tania-Lea Nelson, Mobile Makeup Artist, Brisbane 0428 270 673

Hair Stylist (it did not move an inch – it remained perfect all day and night): Paula Hibbard 0410 693 663

Lee and Kellie, thank you for choosing us to photograph your amazing day.  Thank you for your patience whilst we sorted out lighting etc for the night shoot – it will be so worth it!  Thank you for being so welcoming.  Most of all, thank you for being you.  We hope you had an amazing day and night and we can’t wait to hear all about your honeymoon.

what beautiful photos Caroline. you are doing my daughters wedding next year, i cant wait to see what you do, i love looking at all the shoots you do, beautiful :)

For anyone who knows me, they know that my real passion is photographing people in love.  Of course I love photographing babies, kids and families also, but I love the feeling I get when I photograph couples and weddings.  I get butterflies, I get teary at special moments, I feel all warm and fuzzy and it’s such a priviledge to be a witness to such beautiful and intimate moments.

Josh and Beth are as close to the perfect couple as you can get.  Josh completely dotes on Beth while Beth feels so safe with Josh.  We had such a lovely afternoon.  With lots of giggles and so many beautiful moments.

Beth did not leave any detail spared with their lovey dovey session.  She thought of everything.  From champers to flowers, to rugs to balloons and more.  She even had a bunch of daffodils in memory of her late mother.  So special.

John and Beth, thank you for being you.  Thank you for a lovely afternoon and thank you for making this session so special.  I will be in contact soon.

Oh Wow !!Beatiful styling. The couple are gorgeous. These are amazing !

I seriously have the best ‘job’ in the world.  I have no idea what I was doing with my life before now.  In my ‘job’ I get to meet those most exquisite families and today was no exception.

This brand new family of three were a breath of fresh air.  So loving, together and happy.  This little man is one lucky boy to have such a beautiful home and family around him and I have no doubts that he knows how much he is loved.

Today I decided to pretty much ditch the backdrops and studio style set up to really celebrate the start of this new family.  Their house was just beautiful so I decided to let them enjoy their surroundings.  To give their photos more meaning and make them more personal.  I still managed a few of bubby on a gorgeous blanket.

Thank you for a lovely morning guys.  You truly are a beautiful family and I hope to capture your beautiful little man as he grows.  I hope you love your sneak peek and I will be in touch soon.

Thanks so much Caroline, your work is absolutely amazing!! We cannot wait to see the rest of them!!

Little X belongs to a beautiful couple whose wedding I am shooting in August, 2011.  He seriously may just be the cutest little man on earth – other than my own boys of course!

To get this monkey to smile I had to make a cranky face at him.  As soon as I did that, he was putty in my hands.  His smile is infectious and his cuddles so warm.  I could have very well taken him home.

Thank you for a lovely afternoon Kate.  Your little man is just amazingly beautiful – takes after his mama.

Oh these are so CUTE!! Just love this set, so sweet!!

During the week I came across such a beautiful and fitting sentence.  It’s so simple, yet so true.  What made it fitting is that today I photographed a sweet and new life.  Baby S and her big brother D.  That sentence is this: ‘Every child begins the world again…’.

This morning I spent a couple of hours with this little family and their extended family who travelled up from Sydney to meet the newest addition to their family.

Isn’t she just divine!

To the family – I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.  Thank you for being so welcoming of me (and forgiving when I left my beanbag at home and hubby had to rush it up – ok it was 9am on a Sunday morning! hee hee).  I will be in touch.

There is only four things that I ask of, for a photo session with me.  They are, Love. Life. Light. Laughter.

At today’s sessions, I got all four.  It was the perfect session.  Perfect family = Love.  Gorgeous Little Boy = Life.  Amazing afternoon sunshine = Light.  Little cheeky giggles = Laughter.

It’s always an honour to photograph fellow photographers.  Especially when before the session, they are strangers.  To say I was nervous was an understatement.  I always am before a session but when I photograph another photographer, I am even more nervous.  The nerves quickly went away and I felt so comfortable around this gorgeous little family.

I found a beautiful new location in Northern NSW.  It’s amazing.  We found out at the end of the session that there was a house on it approx 2-3 years ago that burned down one night and no explanation as to how.  Luckily no one was living in it at the time.

Depsite that, I can’t wait to use it again.  The light that beams through and the backdrop are amazing.

D and M, I hope you love your sneak peek as much as I do.  Thank you for coming all the way down to me.  X is amazingly beautiful and M I hope you love your fathers day present.  Happy Fathers Day.

Such a gorgeous family xox

On a glorious afternoon on the Tweed, I met up with Nicky and her gorgeous children.  Her eldest is a teenager so balloons on a beautiful property (hee hee) just weren’t going to cut it.  We started off in the township of Murwillumbah which is so so pretty and old and urban, all in one.  We then headed to the gorgeous canefield and last but not least, Melaleuca Station for an Alice in Wonderland themed shoot just for your little girl.

Seriously how amazing is this weather we are having at the moment.  I love this time of the year.  Please remind me why I am leaving it to head to cold Melbourne next week?

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek Nicky.

I just love photographing little girls.  As a mother of two little boys, I just sometimes love playing girly games instead of trucks and dinosaurs.

When I photographed these two beautiful girls, we decided to have a tea party.  Eventually their teddies also joined us.

The weather was amazingly beautiful and the light!  Oh my!  We all know how much I love beautiful soft golden light.

Have a great weekend everyone!
